La cattedrale di York o York Minster è la chiesa principale della diocesi anglicana di York, nel North Yorkshire , nonché sede della Provincia ecclesiastica di York, il cui vescovo è secondo, nella gerarchia anglicana, solo a quello di Canterbury.
La cattedrale, uno degli edifici gotici più grandi del Nord Europa insieme alla cattedrale di Colonia, conserva il titolo onorifico di minster che le deriva dalla prima fondazione in epoca anglosassone come avamposto per l'evangelizzazione dell'Inghilterra. Il primo edificio infatti venne fatto erigere dal re Edwin di Northumbria, convertitosi al cristianesimo grazie alla sua seconda moglie, santa Etelburga del Kent, e vi venne battezzato.
