L'abbazia di Dundrennan è un'abbazia cistercense del XII secolo, situata nella regione di Dumfries e Galloway, in Scozia, a 10 km a sud-est di Kirkcudbright lungo la A711.
L'abbazia è probabilmente stata fondata dal re David I nel 1142, anche se potrebbe essere stata fondata da un buon amico del re, cioè Fergus, Lord di Galloway.
La casa madre era l'abbazia di Rievaulx. Il primo abate fu Silvano, fino a quando nel 1167 fu scelto come abate per l'abbazia di Rievaulx. Alla fine fu sepolto nell'abbazia di Byland, nello Yorkshire.
