West Wickham è un'area suburbana della zona sud-est di Londra, Inghilterra, all'interno del Borough di Bromley e della storica contea del Kent. Si trova sulla linea di una strada romana, la Londra-Lewes Way, e si trova a 10,3 miglia a sud-est di Charing Cross. Si trova a sud di Park Langley e Eden Park, a ovest di Hayes e Coney Hall, a nord di Spring Park e a est di Shirley.
La storia di West Wickham precede la conquista normanna dell'Inghilterra nel 1066. West Wickham è menzionata nel libro del Domesday con la seguente voce: "In signoria 2 aratri. 24 contadini hanno 4 aratri. 13 schiavi; una chiesa; un mulino a 20d.; un bosco a 10 maiali. Valore prima del 1066 8; dopo 6: ora 13. Godric figlio di Karl lo deteneva dal re Edoardo". Il nome risale all'inglese antico ed è probabilmente una corruzione del latino vicus, che denota un insediamento romano precedente. Il 'West' è stato aggiunto nel XIII secolo per differenziarlo da East Wickham, situato a una certa distanza a nord-est.
