La Chiesa Rotonda (ufficialmente Chiesa del Santo Sepolcro) è una delle poche quattro chiese rotonde medievali rimaste in Inghilterra. La sua forma è direttamente ispirata alla Chiesa del Santo Sepolcro a Gerusalemme e ricordava ai viaggiatori medievali i crociati e i pellegrinaggi.
La chiesa fu costruita intorno al 1114-1131 come una piccola cappella per i pellegrini lungo l'antica strada, destinata ai viaggiatori di passaggio per Cambridge. Questo la rende in effetti una “chiesa dei viaggiatori”, molto prima che esistesse il turismo—un dettaglio perfetto per un percorso che collega la mobilità storica e i visitatori contemporanei.
Nel XIX secolo, la Chiesa Rotonda era così fatiscente che si prese in seria considerazione la sua demolizione, ma l'architetto Anthony Salvin la restaurò nello stile del Rinascimento Gotico. Oggi, è un centro visitatori e il secondo luogo più visitato a Cambridge, subito dopo la Cappella del King's College.
