L'Acaia fu una provincia dell'Impero romano, in Grecia meridionale, che confinava a nord con le province di Epiro e Macedonia.
Il suo territorio corrispondeva, in buona parte, con il Peloponneso.
Ottaviano Augusto, nel 27 a.C., trasformò la Grecia nella provincia romana di Acaia, sulla base del progetto del padre adottivo, Gaio Giulio Cesare. L'Acaia fu amministrata come una provincia senatoria da parte di un proconsole di rango pretorio, con alcune città, come Atene e Sparta, che conservarono persino il governo autonomo sul loro territorio.
