L'HMHS Britannic è stata una nave ospedale britannica, destinata originariamente ad essere utilizzata come transatlantico da parte della compagnia marittima White Star Line; era il piroscafo gemello del RMS Olympic e dello sfortunato RMS Titanic. Venne costruita a Belfast nel cantiere Harland & Wolff, il più grande cantiere navale dell'Irlanda del Nord, con acciaio proveniente dalla Scozia.
