Il Castello di Shrule è una torre casa in rovina vicino a Shrule nella contea di Mayo, Irlanda. Il castello fu costruito attorno al 1238, vicino al Fiume Nero al confine tra la contea di Mayo e la contea di Galway dalla famiglia de Burgh. Fu ceduto a John de Burgh nel 1308 da suo padre Richard Óg de Burgh, 2° Conte di Ulster.
Il castello fu catturato nel 1570 da una forte forza guidata da Sir Edward Fitton, Presidente di Connaught e Vice Tesoriere d'Irlanda; la forza consisteva principalmente nei guerrieri gallowglass dei McDonnell di Knocknacloy. Mac William Uachtar, Signore di Thomond, i de Burgh di Mayo e i McDonnell di Mayo guidarono una forza per riconquistare il castello, tuttavia non ebbero successo. Il capo dei McDonnell di Knocknacloy, Calvagh McDonnell, fu ucciso il 18 giugno 1570 e durante la battaglia Edward Fitton fu disarcionato e gravemente ferito al volto.
