Stroncone è un comune italiano di 4 616 abitanti della provincia di Terni in Umbria. Fa parte dell'agglomerato urbano della città di Terni, rappresentato dalla Conca ternana, della quale si trova a sud.
Il territorio del comune di Stroncone ha una superficie di 71 km², in prevalenza collinare. Il suo punto più elevato è conosciuto come Macchialunga Pizzuta, collegato e immediatamente ad est della cima propriamente detta Macchialunga . Geograficamente fa parte dei Monti Sabini ed il suo territorio è posto al confine con il Lazio.
