Il comune di Robecco sul Naviglio è situato a circa 25 chilometri ad ovest del capoluogo lombardo, a breve distanza dal fiume Ticino e dal confine con la Regione Piemonte. Confina a nord con il comune di Magenta, a est con il comune di Corbetta, a sud con i comuni di Cassinetta di Lugagnano e Abbiategrasso, a ovest con il comune di Cerano in provincia di Novara. Oltre al capoluogo vi sono 4 frazioni e precisamente: Casterno a ovest, Cascinazza a sud-ovest, Castellazzo de' Barzi a est, Carpenzago a nord-ovest.
