Chiari è un comune italiano di 19 116 abitanti della provincia di Brescia in Lombardia. Si trova a poca distanza dal confine con la provincia di Bergamo in una posizione equidistante dai due capoluoghi. Si fregia del titolo di città a seguito del regio decreto 5 ottobre 1862, n. 882. Per via della sua divisione in quattro quadre medioevali è denominata "la Città delle Quadre medioevali". Nel territorio si è svolta la sanguinosa battaglia di Chiari, avvenuta nel 1701. Si trova ad una distanza di circa 25 km da Brescia e Bergamo e a 50 km da Milano.
