Castelnovo Bariano è un comune italiano di 2 615 abitanti della provincia di Rovigo in Veneto, situato a ovest del capoluogo.
Esisteva nella zona golenale, un modesto centro abitato con annessa la chiesa di San Bartolomeo Apostolo di Bariano, chiaramente citata, quando la contessa Matilde di Canossa, nell'atto di cessione cedette il feudo di Bariano al vescovo di Ferrara.
Questa fu inghiottita e distrutta dalla acque del fiume Po nella grande alluvione del 1601.
