Description

Il Monte Zoncolan è una delle salite più impegnative del ciclismo. La salita è stata utilizzata più volte al Giro d'Italia (quattro volte: 2003, 2007, 2010, 2011) e al Giro Donne (1997). La montagna può essere scalata da tre versanti diversi: uno da Ovaro, un altro da Sutrio e un terzo da Priola. La salita più impegnativa è quella ad ovest di Ovaro. Questa è una delle salite più difficili d'Europa ed è spesso paragonata all'Alto de El Angliru in Spagna.
