Il Padiglione di arte contemporanea è un edificio di Ignazio Gardella situato in via Palestro a Milano accanto alla Villa Reale e costruito tra il 1951 e il 1953 su un progetto del 1949.
Sotto la guida di Mercedes Garberi il PAC viene chiuso nel 1973, per una profonda riqualificazione, ammodernamento e adeguamento alle normative per la conservazione , e riaperto nel 1979. L'ultimo restauro avviene nel 1996 dal figlio dell'architetto, Jacopo Gardella, dopo un attentato del 1993 che l'aveva danneggiato.
