Piazza Unità d'Italia è la piazza principale di Trieste, situata ai piedi del colle di San Giusto, tra il Borgo Teresiano e Borgo Giuseppino.
Di pianta rettangolare, su un'area totale di 12.280 m², si apre da un lato sul Golfo di Trieste ed è circondata da numerosi palazzi ed edifici pubblici, sedi di diversi enti: il municipio di Trieste, il palazzo della Giunta regionale del Friuli Venezia Giulia e la prefettura del capoluogo.
