L'abbazia territoriale di Montevergine è una sede della Chiesa cattolica in Italia suffraganea dell'arcidiocesi di Benevento appartenente alla regione ecclesiastica Campania. Nel 2016 contava 225 battezzati su 225 abitanti. È retta dall'abate Riccardo Luca Guariglia, O.S.B.
Fino al 2005 l'abbazia territoriale di Montevergine estendeva la sua giurisdizione su 9 parrocchie nei comuni di Mercogliano, Ospedaletto d'Alpinolo, Sant'Angelo a Scala e Summonte, cedute alla diocesi di Avellino.
