Ahornach si trova a 1334 m a nord-est del villaggio principale di Campo Tures sulle pendici settentrionali della valle del Tauferer sopra l'uscita del Reintal. Ahornach comprende anche l'insediamento sparso di Pojen, che si trova un po 'più a nord. La montagna locale del villaggio è il Großer Moosstock alto 3059 m. A causa delle buone condizioni del vento, Ahornach è spesso utilizzato da deltaplani e parapendio come punto di partenza per un volo verso la valle di Tures.
