Lierop è un villaggio nel comune olandese di Someren nella provincia del Noord-Brabant. Il villaggio si trova a nord del comune e aveva nel 2021 oltre 2.240 abitanti. Lierop è stato un comune autonomo fino al 1935. Lierop era scritto nel 1155 come Lirdob e Lindor. In altri documenti antichi, Lierop era spesso chiamato Leyendorp. Questo significa 'villaggio sulla Lije', e 'Lije' significa: 'corso d'acqua'. Sulle mappe del 17° e 18° secolo veniva utilizzato anche il nome 'Liedorp'.
