Lierop ist ein Dorf in der niederländischen Gemeinde Someren in der Provinz Noord-Brabant. Das Dorf liegt im Norden der Gemeinde und zählte 2021 über 2.240 Einwohner. Lierop war bis 1935 eine selbstständige Gemeinde. Lierop wurde 1155 noch als Lirdob und Lindor geschrieben. In anderen alten Dokumenten wurde Lierop oft Leyendorp genannt. Dies bedeutet 'Dorf an der Lije', und 'Lije' bedeutet: 'Wasserlauf'. Auf Karten aus dem 17. und 18. Jahrhundert wurde auch der Name 'Liedorp' verwendet.
