Il municipio è una fermata del tram rapido di RandstadRail e una ex stazione ferroviaria della NS a Zoetermeer sulla linea della città di Zoetermeer. La stazione è stata inaugurata il 22 maggio 1977.
Il nome originale della stazione era Centrum Oost, in analogia con la stazione Centrum West. In seguito il nome è stato cambiato in Stadhuis, poiché il nome Centrum Oost avrebbe potuto essere confuso con l'esistente stazione di Zoetermeer Oost sulla linea Den Haag - Gouda. La stazione è stata completata solo nel 1985 ed era diventata parte di un centro commerciale. La sicurezza lasciava a desiderare. Nel 1990 la stazione è stata quindi ristrutturata, permettendo un maggiore ingresso di luce naturale. La fermata è stata servita per anni dalle seguenti serie ferroviarie:
