Il Café Het Verdronken Land è un'istituzione a Hulst e nei dintorni. Si trova appena oltre il confine con i Paesi Bassi, lungo la diga del Schelda a Emmadorp. Le proprietarie Gina (60) e Sofie (32), madre e figlia, sono orgogliose di affermare che questo è "il terrazzo più accogliente di Hulst e dintorni". Il terrazzo e il caffè, caratteristici e originali, sono almeno un'esperienza. È pieno zeppo, ma comunque arredato con gusto con oggetti d'antiquariato. "Molto rende pulito", dice Gina con un sorriso. Le proprietarie attribuiscono grande valore al loro ambiente e hanno il massimo rispetto per la natura. "Le rondini possono volare dentro e fuori. Qui addirittura costruiscono il loro nido", racconta Gina.
