La Graetheide presso Urmond è racchiusa tra l'A2 e il canale di Julian. Questa area "non appariscente" è invece ricca di storie e ampie vedute. Si dice che un tempo fosse stata donata agli abitanti dal re medievale Zwentibold ed è proprio qui che i primissimi agricoltori d'Europa, i cordati, oltre 7000 anni fa costruirono le loro abitazioni.
L'area è permeata di storia, ma oggi merita anche di essere scoperta. È una zona naturale aperta e ricca di campi dove i rapaci possono trovare il loro cibo. Quest'area è particolarmente adatta per essere goduta in bicicletta.
