Il paese di confine Eede [d’Ee] nella West Zeeuws-Vlaanderen è diventato noto a livello nazionale per una ‘striscia di farina’. Il 13 marzo 1945, la regina Wilhelmina (la bisnonna del re Willem-Alexander) tornò per la prima volta sui suoli olandesi dopo cinque anni di esilio.
