Pingjum è un villaggio nel comune di Súdwest-Fryslân in Friesland, nelle Fiandre settentrionali, e si trova a 6,6 chilometri a sud-ovest di Harlingen. Aveva una popolazione di circa 585 abitanti a gennaio 2017. Il villaggio è stato menzionato per la prima volta nel 13° secolo come Penningem, e significa "insediamento di Penne". Pingjum è un villaggio terp dell'alto medioevo che si sviluppò sulla Marneslenk in una struttura a griglia. Secondo la leggenda, i primi coloni erano pastori del Drenthe che decisero di costruire i terps e intorno all'anno 1100 aggiunsero argini per ulteriore protezione contro il mare.
