Il Grand Hotel Amrâth Kurhaus L'Aia, spesso chiamato semplicemente Kurhaus, è un grande hotel situato tra Gevers Deynootplein e il lungomare lungo la spiaggia di Scheveningen. Dispone di oltre 250 camere. Inoltre, l'hotel offre un nuovo ristorante: Waves at the Kurhaus e diverse sale conferenze.
Nel 1818 Jacob Pronk fondò un padiglione di legno con un bagno pubblico in Verlengde Badhuisstraat, l'apertura avvenne il 15 luglio di quell'anno. Nel 1828, su iniziativa del sindaco, fu costruito un 'Bagno comunale' molto più grande in stile neoclassico, chiamato Grand Hôtel des Bains, progettato dall'architetto comunale Zeger Reyers. Il Bagno comunale ebbe un tale successo che nel 1856 si decise di espandere il bagno. Tra il 1884 e il 1885 fu costruito lo Kurhaus nello stesso luogo. Dopo un violento incendio, fu ricostruito tra il 1886 e il 1887. È stato progettato dagli architetti tedeschi Johann Friedrich Henkenhaf e Friedrich Ebert. Dal 1858 al 1882 François Gerard Abraham Gevers Deynoot fu sindaco dell'Aia. La piazza di fronte al Kurhaus fu dedicata a lui nel 1891.
