Il Ithaka Science Center era un centro scientifico e museo sotto forma di fondazione con scopi educativi nel quartiere Tegelen della città di Venlo, nella provincia di Limburg, e aveva la sua sede nel municipio dell'ex comune autonomo. L'ISC voleva far conoscere agli abitanti del Nord e del Centro-Limburgo, del Brabant sudorientale e ai visitatori dell'area di confine tedesca gli sviluppi scientifici e tecnologici dell'epoca moderna. A questo scopo, si avvaleva non solo di libri e immagini tridimensionali, ma anche di multimedia, internet, olografia e persino proiezione olografica.
