L'edificio della ex Scuola Navale Abel Tasman nella città di Delfzijl, in Groninga, fu costruito nel 1930 in uno stile architettonico affine alla Scuola di Amsterdam.
La scuola navale di Delfzijl fu fondata nel 1856 come Scuola per l'Industria e la Navigazione. In seguito, la scuola fu chiamata in onore dell'esploratore olandese Abel Tasman e assunse il nome di Scuola di Formazione del Nord Abel Tasman, e successivamente Scuola Navale Abel Tasman.
