Nell'acquisto di Gooilust, una delle residenze di 's-Graveland, nel 1777 Gerrit Corver Hooft, l'ultimo balivo del Gooi, ricevette in affitto gran parte dell'odierno Corversbos. Nel bosco si trovano ancora alcune fattorie. Nei campi del Corversbos sono stati trovati strumenti di pietra dei più antichi abitanti del Gooi, i Neanderthal dell'incirca 250.000 anni fa. Questi strumenti possono essere ammirati nel Centro Informativo Archeologico della Provincia di Noord-Holland a Castricum.
