Originariamente questa casa è stata a lungo una fattoria contadina. Dopo l'acquisto da parte di Willem Hendrik de Beaufort nel 1807, fu trasformata in una casa di campagna. La torre risale al 1903. Nella seconda metà del XX secolo, ospitava un hotel. La terrazza sul bel laghetto a est era conosciuta all'epoca come la terrazza più bella dei Paesi Bassi. Dal 2001, la casa è abitata in modo privato. Sia la casa che il giardino non sono accessibili.
