La Noordsingel è un famoso vecchio canale di Rotterdam al confine tra il Vecchio Nord e il quartiere di Agniesebuurt. La Noordsingel si estende da Noordplein a Bergweg.
La Noordsingel fu costruita come parte del progetto idrico di W.N. Rose. Gli architetti paesaggisti Jan David Zocher e suo figlio Louis Paul Zocher elaborarono un progetto per l'allestimento del canale nel 1854. Nel 1862 i lavori furono completati, ma fino al 1870 la Noordsingel non poteva essere edificata a causa del diritto al vento del mulino ad acqua del polder di Blommersdijk. Nel 1872 fu costruita la prigione sulla Noordsingel. Il lato est della Noordsingel fu edificato negli anni '70 del XIX secolo, il lato ovest negli anni '80.
