Steurgat è una frazione del comune di Altena nella provincia olandese di Noord-Brabant. Si trova lungo il Nieuwe-Merwede a ovest di Werkendam. A Steurgat si trova il forte omonimo Fort Steurgat. La frazione di Steurgat si trova nella cosiddetta Noordwaard del Biesbosch brabantesi ed è nominata in base all'acqua di navigazione Steurgat, che si stacca a est dalla frazione dal Nieuwe-Merwede. Nella frazione si trovano la Biesboschsluis e l'unico collegamento fisso con la sponda del Noordwaard.
