Il Laurentiamolen è un mulino a vento ottagonale con un albero (croce delle pale) di 27,30 metri. Il Laurentiamolen non proviene originariamente da Milheeze, ma è stato trasferito nel 1893 da Bleskensgraaf nell'Alblasserwaard. Nei Paesi Bassi furono costruiti molti mulini in legno, che, grazie al loro leggero peso, si stabilivano meglio nel terreno paludoso del polder. Intorno al 1850 si iniziò a sostituire questi mulini con mulini a vapore. I mulini abbattuti venivano spesso acquistati e collocati in Brabant, come è successo anche con questo mulino. Il mulino è stato trasferito dopo che il precedente mulino più piccolo in questo luogo è bruciato. Il nuovo mulino aveva tre coppie di macine ed era utilizzato sia per macinare cereali (soprattutto segale e grano saraceno, molto coltivato nella Peel) sia per semi di lino e colza per l'olio.
