Il Brabante Settentrionale è una provincia dei Paesi Bassi, situata nella parte sud del Paese. Confina con il Belgio a sud, con il Limburgo ad est, con la Zelanda a ovest e con l'Olanda Meridionale e la Gheldria a nord, oltre il fiume Mosa .Da quanto riportato nel De Bello Gallico, Gaio Giulio Cesare massacrò due tribù germaniche, gli Usipeti e i Tencteri, presso l'attuale città di Kessel; dopo la vittoria, i prigionieri germanici poterono allontanarsi.
