L'area naturale Maashorst è un parco paesaggistico di circa 2400 ettari, più o meno continuo, che si estende sul territorio del comune omonimo e dei comuni di Bernheze e Oss. Un centro visitatori si trova presso la frazione di Slabroek, vicino a Nistelrode. L'area è composta da diversi tipi di paesaggio: foreste di conifere, spesso su sabbia mobile fissata, quattro brughiere disperse, alcuni stagni, aree agricole moderne, terreni agricoli tradizionali con campi, prati umidi e siepi fruttifere.
