El área natural de Maashorst es un parque paisajístico de aproximadamente 2400 hectáreas que se extiende por el territorio del municipio del mismo nombre y los municipios de Bernheze y Oss. Un centro de visitantes se encuentra en la aldea de Slabroek, cerca de Nistelrode. El área se compone de varios tipos de paisajes diferentes: bosques de coníferas, a menudo sobre arena móvil fijada, cuatro extensas áreas de brezal, algunos estanques, zonas agrícolas modernas, tierras agrícolas tradicionales con campos, praderas húmedas y setos.
