Schans Slijkenburg
Slijkenburg si trova nel punto in cui in passato si univano De Lende e De Tsjonger/Kuun-der. La schans di Slijkenburg serviva a difendere entrambi i corsi d'acqua. Prima della costruzione della Statendijk nel 1702, la schans fu completamente smantellata. Il terreno della schans fu utilizzato per la diga. La chiusa fu spostata a Schoterzijl, il ponte della chiusa rimase a Slijkenburg. Nel 1842 la chiusa fu riempita e Slijkenburg perse la sua funzione di collegamento tra i due fiumi.
