Halfweg è una frazione che appartiene al comune di Staphorst nella provincia olandese di Overijssel.
Il punto centrale di Halfweg è il ristorante "Het Vergulde Ros". Jan Bouwman, contadino e commerciante di cavalli di Halfweg, costruì il ristorante intorno al 1900. Allora consisteva in una sala con due letti e una grande stufa a potere. Subito dietro c'era un fienile con adiacente la stalla e porcili. Infine, due grandi capannoni con spazio per cento cavalli. Dopo la guerra, suo nipote, Jan Bouwman, prese in gestione il locale. Il ristorante passò a Meilof Bouwman che costruì una piccola sala e una caratteristica veranda. Nel 1984, il ristorante fu in gran parte distrutto da un incendio. Solo la sala rimase intatta. Dopo due anni, il ristorante fu ricostruito per riaprire il 16 dicembre 1986 con il sindaco Niemeijer a cavallo. Anche nella decorazione del ristorante è evidente il legame con la storia del commercio di cavalli.
