Il Monumento alle inondazioni è un monumento nella città olandese di Kruiningen, nella provincia di Zeeland.
Nella notte tra il 31 gennaio e il 1 febbraio 1953 si verificò un disastro causato dalle inondazioni, durante il quale tra l'altro il porto dei traghetti di Kruiningen fu distrutto e la polders di Kruininger venne sommersa. Morirono 62 abitanti di Kruiningen. Il maestro d'arte di Amsterdam Jan Wolkers ricevette dall'amministrazione comunale l'incarico di creare un monumento in memoria delle inondazioni. Progettò una scultura in vetro di una figura fluttuante in mezzo a due onde, che però fu rifiutata dal comune. Per il suo secondo progetto optò per la statua di una giovane donna che stringe a sé un bambino annegato, di cui si vede appena la manina. La moglie di Wolkers, Maria, posò come modello. Il progetto fu presentato alla mostra di Sint Lucas nel Museo Stedelijk di Amsterdam alla fine del 1956.
