Il Pieterpad-in-1-giorno è un nuovo concetto nel paese dei ciclisti Olandesi. Una sfida che ogni ciclista deve affrontare. In un giorno si pedala da Pieterburen (Groninga) alla Sint-Pietersberg (Maastricht).

Il percorso ciclabile non segue il noto sentiero pedonale, ma è creato per i ciclisti. Si percorrono strade tranquille e asfaltate e piste ciclabili (salvo 500 metri di sterrato per via della bella natura). Si attraversano aree naturali e fiumi. Le città vengono evitate e si passano nei villaggi. In un giorno si sperimenta quanto sia incredibilmente bella l’Olanda.
Il punto di partenza è Grand Café ‘Bij de buren van Pieter’, Hoofdstraat 82 a Pieterburen (Groninga).
Il punto d’arrivo è il balcone di Zuid-Limburg, sospeso sopra la cava di cemento sulla Sint-Pietersberg a Maastricht. Letteralmente la fine del sentiero.
