The Pieterpad-in-1-dag is a new concept in the Netherlands cycling country. A challenge that every cycling tourist must have done. In 1 day you cycle from Pieterburen (Groningen) to the Sint-Pietersberg (Maastricht).
The cycle route does not run on the well-known hiking trail, but is made for cyclists. You drive on quiet, paved roads and free-lying cycle paths (except for 500 meters unpaved because of the beautiful nature). You pass through nature reserves and cross rivers. Cities are avoided and villages are visited. In 1 day you will experience how incredibly beautiful the Netherlands is.
Starting point is Grand Café 'Bij de buren van Pieter', Hoofdstraat 82 in Pieterburen (Groningen).
The end point is the balcony of South Limburg, hanging above the cement quarry on the Sint-Pietersberg in Maastricht. Literally the end of the path.
