Questo bell'esempio di architettura barocca civile mostra lo stile di vita in una villa di quel tempo e conserva ancora i mobili originali delle varie stanze. La casa espone la collezione di arte decorativa del XVII e XVIII secolo , proveniente da donazioni private, che consiste principalmente di mobili, ceramiche barocche, porcellane cinesi, vetreria europea, argenteria, tessuti e dipinti portoghesi ed europei.
I giardini, ispirati ai giardini francesi del XVII secolo , sono i giardini meglio conservati e più completi del periodo barocco.
