Suceava è un municipio della Romania di 106 397 abitanti, capoluogo del distretto omonimo, nella regione storica della Bucovina.Suceava occupa un'area geografica molto varia, che va da una zona collinare, il cui punto più alto è la Collina di Zamca, ad una pianeggiante sulle rive del fiume Siret. Alle due zone, denominate rispettivamente Zamca e Şipote, si unisce un grande quartiere periferico, chiamato Burdujeni, collegato al resto della città da un lungo viale; la configurazione ne fa una sorta di città-satellite, anche se amministrativamente fa parte della municipalità.
