Olbia Pontica o Olvia è il sito di una antica colonia greca fondata alla fine del VII secolo dalla città di Mileto sulla foce del fiume Bug Meridionale , sulle rive del mar Nero, di fronte all'isola Berezan'. I Greci la chiamavano Borysthenes, dall'antico nome del Dnepr, che sfocia a pochi chilometri di distanza. Nel V sec. a.C. fu visitata da Erodoto.
Il suo porto era uno dei principali scali del mar Nero per l'esportazione di cereali, pesci, e schiavi verso la Grecia e per l'importazione di manufatti dell'Attica nella Scizia.
