L'assedio di Vicksburg, durato dal 18 maggio al 4 luglio del 1863, fu l'ultima consistente operazione militare nell'ambito della Campagna di Vicksburg all'interno del Teatro Occidentale della guerra di secessione americana.
Attuando una serie di manovre atte a fiaccarne la resistenza il Maggior generale Ulysses S. Grant e la sua Armata del Tennessee attraversarono il fiume Mississippi e misero sotto uno stato di stretto assedio l'Armata confederata del Mississippi guidata dal Luogotenente generale John Clifford Pemberton nelle linee difensive che circondavano la città fortificata di Vicksburg.
