Il disastro aereo di Reno fu un disastro aereo avvenuto il 16 Settembre 2011 all'aeroporto di Reno in Nevada, il disastro accadde durante la famosa gara aerea di Reno, e uccise 1 pilota e 10 spettatori.
Il Galopping Ghost era un North American P-51 Mustang della US Air Force poi diventato aereo da competizione. Le sue prime gare furono nel 1946 e nel 2010 venne pesantemente modificato dal suo nuovo pilota James K. "Jimmy" Leeward per aumentarne le prestazioni in volo.
