La contea di Denton è una contea dello Stato del Texas, negli Stati Uniti. La popolazione al censimento del 2010 era di 662 614 abitanti. Il capoluogo di contea è Denton. È la nona contea più grande del Texas per numero di abitanti. La contea, che prende il nome da John B. Denton, è stata fondata nel 1846. Denton County è inclusa nella Metropolitan Statistical Area di Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington. Nel 2007 diventa una delle contee con una delle più rapide impennate di popolazione
