In the middle stands the Airborne Monument, which is the main monument for the annual commemoration of the Battle of Arnhem. The square consists of two levels. The monument is located in the lower part, which is surrounded by a brick wall. This part is also known as the Berenkuil. Around the monument, there is a roundabout for cyclists.
