Brons op een gepolijste natuurstenen zuil. De eerste versie van het beeld werd in polyester gemaakt.
Zuil: 110 x 50 x 50 cm | Beeld: 138 x 82 x 82 cm.
In opdracht van de Vereniging Protestants Tehuis in West-Zeeuwsch-Vlaanderen ter gelegenheid van het 65-jarige bestaan van die organisatie in 1978.
Het beeld werd op 22 november 1978 onthuld. In 1998 verdween het tijdens een verbouwing. Het vervangende beeld werd onthuld op 14 december 2001 door H. Elenbaas, lid van het bestuur van Rozenoord.
