De Organisatie voor Veiligheid en Samenwerking in Europa is een organisatie die de samenwerking tussen haar zevenenvijftig lidstaten op militair, economisch en humanitair gebied wil bevorderen. Internationaal wordt de organisatie aangeduid als OSCE .
De lidstaten van de OVSE zijn de Verenigde Staten van Amerika, Canada, de 47 leden van de Raad van Europa, Vaticaanstad, Wit-Rusland, Mongolië en de vijf voormalige Sovjetrepublieken in Centraal-Azië .
