Eén der poorten, de enige behouden, van de middeleeuwse stadsomwalling. Vierkante constructie, gebouwd in 1379, een vervanging of herbouw van de oorspronkelijke toren uit de 13de eeuw. De voorbouw werd door de Fransen in 1673 opgeblazen.
