Langs de IJzer in Diksmuide vind je het laatste stukje Belgische front uit WO I. De Dodengang is een loopgravenstelsel waar Belgische troepen vier jaar lang stand hielden tegen de vijand. De stelling kreeg vlug de naam Dodengang door het grote aantal slachtoffers in deze loopgraven. De site werd volledig hersteld met betonnen constructies. Het bezoekerscentrum toont je het leven en lijden van de frontsoldaten tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog.

Van 1 april t.e.m. 15 november open van 10u tot 18u. Toegang tot 17u30. Van 16 november t.e.m. 31 maart geopend op dinsdag en donderdag van 9u30 tot 16u . Toegang tot 15u30. Wegens een militaire reorganisatie kunnen deze openingsuren wijzigen. Gesloten tussen 25 december en 1 januari.
